Thought I'd better post. Not much been happening really.Apart from some b£$%^&* decided it would be a good idea to start using my bank account and run up amounts to the tune of £950.
So how did it happen one might ask oneself. I've no idea at the moment. I only noticed when I collected £20 from my friendly ATM and it advised that my current balance was "£800 DR". So I pondered on it for a few moments thinking that I'd somehow managed to get £800 added to my account by some really nice banker and then it dawned on me. DR means "minus".
Oh happy days...

It happened to me - twice!
Both times, it was after i took my car in to be repaired/serviced.
Them damn receipts i left in the car i guess!

we shall see... Apparently I can't claim anything back until the final amount outstanding hits my statement which should be anytime around now...
Just to complete the agony - me too - AND about £900. It turned out that a policeman and a postie had a racket going where one of them (you guess!) lifted the very easily spottable 'new credit card' envelopes - and the other went out and loaded up with goods. (This was before Chip & PIN) Fortunately, none of the credit card slips had a signature that matched mine (other than it was the same name!) so they let me off. I got a massive 3 page credit card bill one morning and sat there thinking "I haven't done all this...... have I?" - scary!
could it have been taken after a visit to a leading gentlemans club in the heart of brum called "spearmint rhino" ?
